BSS heavy machinery is celebrating the end of its first decade in business! The company is now 10 years old and is marking its first big milestone. “At an event like this, it’s good to take stock and review our achievements,” says Managing Director Dirk Schönbohm. “The company was founded a decade ago in Finowfurt bei Berlin and work steadily from the ground up.” Today, BSS heavy machinery is an industry player with national and international acclaim. Its success is due to hard work and lots of expertise. The management board boasts a perfect mix of this: Dirk Schönbohm’s brother and partner Ralf is a business manager and looks after finance and administration, whilst Dirk is responsible for sales and distribution. “We are proud of the way the company has developed and of the great team we have set up,” comments Ralf Schönbohm. Each year the machine experts from BSS ready 300 vehicles and systems for new applications on their premises and assist with the often highly complex transfer of these vehicles and systems throughout the world. Congratulations BSS heavy machinery, wishing you a good start to your anniversary year!mehr >
BSS heavy machinery remains on course for success with its Spanish partner Frumecar – the German market loves the mobile plants from Southern Europe and the professional coordination provided by the experts of BSS.
For example, one of the new Frumecar concrete mixing plants, Mod. EBA 1000, was recently leased to Strabag AG, Cologne.
Strabag is one of Europe’s largest building firms and BSS is delighted to be involved in this cooperation.
Now the plant can show what it can do: On the new A33 motorway near Bielefeld it will be used to produce the concrete for sound barriers. Capacity: 50 m³/h.
Managing Director Dirk Schoenbohm: “We are proud of ‘our’ Frumecar and look forward to seeing the building project progress rapidly!“mehr >

We renamed the company!
BSS international trading is now BSS heavy machinery. “The name says it all – heavy machinery defines our core business and expertise.
The new name captures exactly what we are trading and where our competences lie,” explains CEO Dirk Schönbohm. But aside the renaming, the key factor in BSS’ success remains the same: People and machines, which keep their promises.
For the last seven years the company from Finowfurt near Berlin has been an internationally successful player in the construction machinery industry.
The directors, consisting of the brothers Dirk and Ralf Schönbohm, and their team undertake complex projects worldwide and have established themselves as a trusted supplier for large plant equipment.mehr >
BSS international trading is in demand: Following the decision to extend our business in the German market by selling mobile mixing plants from Spanish producer Frumecar, we attracted quite some press attention. Three relevant trade magazines took up the story: bauMAGAZIN, Allgemeine Bauzeitung and bi BauMagazin. The latter reported extensively about BSS international trading in their special edition dealing with construction materials such as sand, gravel, natural stone, and concrete. BSS international trading’s ambitions for the German market are already now a success story!mehr >
BSS international trading takes important strategic steps in establishing the company on the German market. Reacting to recent trends in the construction equipment sector towards smaller and more flexible machinery, the supplier from Finowfurt now offers exclusively mobile concrete mixing plants by the Spanish company Frumecar. These machines stand out due to their compact size, making them easily maneuverable and convenient to handle.
Dirk Schönbohm, director of BSS international trading: “The demand regarding mobile machinery suitable for compact and flexible operations is on a steady rise in Germany. Small and medium-sized enterprises are especially looking for mixing plants that can be moved easily to different locations with as little effort as possible.” One of those enterprises is Kohl Recycling, the first German company to buy the EMA 500 mixing plant by Frumecar. Due to BSS international trading’s push into the German market, they were able to provide the optimal solution for Kohl Recycling.mehr >
June was a busy month for BSS international trading as a major order brought the team from Finowfurt on a trip to Palestine. There, a customer waited for some truly heavy machinery, in particular a Bomag Marini Magnum 140. The new asphalt mixing plant has a production capacity of 140 tonnes per hour. Yet, it is not the only machine the experienced men of BSS international trading took along on the road. Besides two asphalt pavers, a Vögele S 1803 and a Dynapac F 121C, they transported the pneumatic rubber-wheeled roller GRW 18 by Hamm, two tandem rollers (Dynapac CC 432 and Bomag BW 174 AD-2) as well as a Bomag BW 213D-2 single drum roller to Palestine. The well coordinated transfer was certainly worthwhile: in addition to a used excavator on track (ZX 350 LCN-3), two ZW 250 wheel loaders by Japanese manufacturer Hitachi were delivered.mehr >
